William Frank Wild, Jr., age 89, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at his home. He was born on August 23, 1925 at Verona, WI to his parents William and Dora (Hageman) Wild, Sr. Willie graduated from high school and then went on to attend vocational school. On June 5, 1948 he was united in marriage to Genevieve Miller. Willie worked as a mechanic for P.A. Genin and then at Federal Industries in Belleville until retiring. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Belleville. Willie also served as assistant chief and firefighter with the Belleville Fire Department for 35 years along with serving on the Belleville School Board. Willie is survived by his wife Gen of Belleville, WI, a son William (Linda) Wild of Middleton, WI, a daughter Kathy Grgurich of Belleville, WI, grandchildren Troy (Tena) Wild, Middleton, WI and Evie Grgurich of Belleville, WI, great-grandchildren MacKenzie, Haley, and Braxton Wild. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Louena Goodman and Lorna Jordan, and brothers Oscar, Curtis, and Oliver Wild. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 338 S. Harrison St., Belleville, WI with the Rev. Michael Moon and Rev. Kenneth Klink officiating. Relatives and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of service on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. The family would like to thank Dr. Roberts and the staff of the Belleville Family Medicine Clinic, Dr. Busse of the UW-Cardiology Clinic, the Monroe Clinic Hospice, and all those that helped with Willie's care. Memorials are suggested to the Belleville Fire Department or the Monroe Clinic Hospice. The Becker-Beal Funeral Home of Belleville is serving the family.
