Virginia Leora Skjolaas, age 69, of Monticello passed away on Friday, January 15, 2010 at her home. She was born on October 21, 1940 in Mondovi, WI to her parents Geraldine Slotto and Earl Perry. Virginia was married to Vernon O. Skjolaas in July of 1964. She worked for the Dane County Nursing Home in Verona and later Badger Prairie Health Care Center in Verona. Virginia is survived by: her mother Geraldine Slotto of Monticello, WI; a son Vernon "Skip" (Cinnamon) Skjolaas of Stoughton, WI; three daughters Lesa (Joe) Hofmaster of Belleville, WI, Teresa (Rusty) Schmid of Monticello, WI, and Tena (Kevin) Koch of New Glarus, WI; twelve grandchildren; two brothers Merle (Carol) Perry of Madison, WI and Eugene (Alice) Perry of Chippewa Falls, WI; two sisters Kay Hahn of Garden City, MI and Jeanette (Dean) O'Connel of Chippewa Falls, WI. She was preceded in death by her father Earl, husband Vernon, and a brother Oral Perry. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI with the Pastor Roger Olsen officiating with burial in Roselawn Cemetery in Monona. Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI.
