Victoria M. Schenk, age 89, passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at St. Mary's Care Center in Madison. She was born on December 7, 1920 in Belleville to her parents James and Victoria (Wallett) Gehin Sr. Victoria graduated from Belleville High School in 1938. On February 16, 1943 she was united in marriage to Herbert F. Schenk in Belleville. Victoria worked at Badger Prairie Health Care in Verona for many years. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Belleville and the Belleville Senior Citizens. Victoria loved to travel especially her trips to Branson, MO. Victoria is survived by her three sons Jim (Ginna) Schenk of Belleville and Roger (Sandy) Schenk of Brooklyn, and Jerry (Sue) Schenk of Madison, a daughter Vicki Schenk of Belleville, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a brother Leo Gehin of Belleville. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a grandson Paul, brothers Tony Gehin, Daniel Gehin, and James Gehin Jr., sisters Charlotte Steussy, Gladys Steiner, and Eugenia Franklin. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at the Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 338 S. Harrison St., Belleville, WI with Rev. Michael Moon and Rev. Kenneth Klink officiating with burial in the Frenchtown Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI. Memorials are suggested to the Belleville Senior Citizens and Belleville Area EMS.
