Veta Bernice Williams "Smitty", age 103, a former Belleville, Wisconsin resident passed away on Wednesday, October 05, 2011 in Ocala, Florida. She was born on March 22, 1908 in Edina, Missouri to her parents Owen and Sylvia Walters. Bernice was united in marriage to Rheuben Smith in 1926. Later she married Earl Williams in 1957. Bernice operated the Belleville Produce Co. and the Mis Cue Pool Room for many years. She also worked for Wolff-Kubly-Hirsig. Bernice is survived by a daughter Charlene Linnerud of Ocala, FL, two sons William Smith of Tucson, AZ and Wayne (Cathy) Smith of Scituate, MA, a daughter-in-law Beverly Smith, seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Earl in 1980, a son Douglas Smith, a son-in-law, a daughter-in-law, a grandson, a great-granddaughter, two brothers, and a sister. Relatives and friends may call from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI. Burial will follow in the Belleville Cemetery.
