Suann Steiner, age 59 passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at her home.  She was born on April 12, 1966 in Fond du Lac, WI the daughter of Orville and Agnes (Stephanie) Freund.  Sue graduated from St. Mary Springs High School in Fond du Lac and continued her education at beauty school.  Sue would work as a beautician and hairdresser for over 40 years operating Sue's Mane Debut in Verona.  On February 21, 1997 she was united in marriage to Gary Steiner in Verona.  Sue and Gary would move to rural New Glarus near Postville in the early 2000's.  They enjoyed their time spent golfing at Edelweiss Chalet Country Club where they have been members for sixteen years.  Sue also enjoyed attending local live music performances and joining in to sing with the band.

Sue is survived by her husband Gary, son Cole Steiner, and step-sons Justin Steiner and Sean (Kim) Steiner.  She is further survived by her siblings Elizabeth (Jeff) Phillips, Gerard "Cub" (Donna) Freund, Eugene "Geno" (Laurie) Freund, Randy (Laurie) Freund, and Catherine "Cath" (Mike Stock) Krupp, brother-in-law Doug (Kay) Steiner, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Orville & Agnes, step-son Aaron Steiner, and father-in-law and mother-in-law Sheldon & Diane Steiner.

A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 338 S. Harrison St., Belleville, WI with Fr. Chahm Gahng officiating.

A celebration of Sue's life will follow the memorial mass from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Kleeman's Bar & Grill, 116 Fifth Ave., New Glarus, WI.

A gathering of relatives and friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 20, 2025 at the Zentner-Beal Funeral Home, 29 Sixth Ave., New Glarus, WI.
