Ruth Swenson of McFarland passed from her earthly home to her forever home in heaven on July 3rd 2024.  Ruth was born in Switzerland on January 25, 1937 to Robert and Emma Mueller.  Ruth was the firstborn of six children, three girls and three boys. Ruth, Hannah, Rosemarie, Robert, Walter and Christian.  The family left Switzerland to come to America in 1948. They lived two years in Canada before coming to Wisconsin in December of 1950.  They made their home in Mt. Vernon, Wisconsin.  On June 5th, 1954, Ruth married Dean Swenson and over the next years they were blessed with four sons: Robert, David, Allen and Gary.  Sadly, Dean struggled with alcohol and life was difficult for Ruth and the boys. Ruth was a rock of strength for the boys and loved and raised them with the help of her Savior, Jesus Christ. Dean and Ruth divorced later on, and Dean passed away in 2002.  God blessed Ruth with thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and a nephew.

She is survived by her two sisters, Hannah Jelle of Belleville and Rosemarie Graulich of McFarland. Her four sons and their families, Robert and Cheri Swenson of Oregon, David and Marilyn Swenson of DeForest, Allen and Dori Swenson of Union Mills, NC and Gary and Angie Swenson of Austin, Texas.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI with Pastor Jeremy Scott officiating.

There will be a time for visiting with the family from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. before the memorial service on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home in Belleville.
