Ruth Elaine Fishbeck, 85, of New Glarus passed away with her devoted girls at her side. Ruth was a free spirit with a quick wit and a hug and "I love you honey" for all of her caretakers at the New Glarus Home. Ruth loves pussy willows and picking bitter sweet at her beloved Pilcher Park in Joliet, Illinois where she was born and lived until moving up to Wisconsin to live by her girls. She loved music especially Elvis Presley and Pink Floyd. She loved sunsets and watching a good storm on the porch. She thoroughly enjoyed dessert - especially all things lemon! Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the joy of her life. She loved when her granddaughter Tiffany did her nails - she was a diva!

Ruth is survived by her children Cindy (Tom) Moubry, Karen Bergeson, Chad Smeets, and Darren (Amanda) Smeets, grandchildren Tiffany (Rick) Nelson, Bradley (Amber) Bellows, Jessica, Sarah, Olivia, and Spencer Smeets, and great-grandchildren Ricky, Ryan, Reid, Ruby, and Brandon. She is further survived by a brother Robert (Louise) Fishbeck, sister-in-law Rheta Vaughn, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Alvin, Cliff, Don, Joe, Wesley, Carl, and John.

A gathering of friends and family will be on Sunday, January 20 ^th from 3:00 to 5:00 at the New Glarus Hotel, 100 Sixth Ave., New Glarus, WI to share stories and hugs.
