Ruth Geneva Field, age 98, of Monticello passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at her home. She was born on November 15, 1916 near Argyle, WI to her parents Andrew and Tilda (Gilbertson) Skattum. Ruth graduated from Monroe High School. On September 2, 1937 she was united in marriage to Clyde Field at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. Ruth was first a mom and grandmother, and she also worked at Oaktron in Monroe, the Village of Monticello, and the Monticello Library. A private family service will be held at a later date.
