Ruth M. Erickson, age 87, passed away on September 8, 2014 at Four Winds Manor in Verona. She was born on October 1, 1926 in Dale, WI to her parents Emil and Marie (Moser) Krummenacher. Ruth graduated from Menasha High School and then earned her Bachelor's degree at UW-Madison and years later, a Master's from UW-Oshkosh. On December 27, 1952 she was united in marriage to Dallas Erickson in Dale, WI. Ruth was a homemaker and had worked as a library aide at schools in the Appleton area and as a librarian at the Helen C. White Library at UW-Madison. She was a member of a variety of organizations one of them, the Fox Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. Ruth was always a kind, and sincere person. She had a positive outlook on life. She genuinely cared about people and was interested in what they had to say. She loved to travel, especially back to Switzerland, where her parents were from. Ruth is survived by her children Stanley Erickson, James (Lori Gustafson) Erickson, and Andrea (David) Ziegler; grandchildren Amra and Maya Erickson, William, Dallas, and Claire Ziegler, Sonya and Marieke Beversluis. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dallas, and a brother Roy Krummenacher. A gathering of relatives and friends will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 20th, 2014 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at the Fox Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 2600 Phillip Lane, Appleton, WI with a gathering from 1:00 p.m. until time of service.
