Ruth L. Bolliger, age 93, a former Mount Vernon area resident passed away on Friday, March 9, 2012 at the home of her nephew in Helenville. She was born on August 23, 1918 to Alfred and Louise (Baertschi) Eggimann. Ruth was married to Walter Bolliger on August 6th, 1949 at the Evangelical and Reformed Church Parsonage in Verona. During most of her life, Ruth worked with her husband in the cheese business. Ruth is survived by: her nephews Tom Geiger of Helenville, WI and Hal (Scarlet) Geiger of Helenville, WI, a niece Loni (Ronald) Oliver of Waukesha, WI, and other relatives and friends. Ruth also is survived by a long lost son, Mark Brandl of San Diego, CA who re-appeared in the twilight of her life to her amazement and joy. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and four sisters Esther (died at 3) Alycia Shutvet, Esther Geiger and Lillian Bigler. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI. Burial will be in the Mount Vernon Cemetery.
