Russell J. Pernot, age 92 passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022 at Badger Prairie in Verona.  He was born on October 6, 1929 on the home farm in the Town of Oregon to his parents Francis and Elizabeth (Heimann) Pernot.  On June 2, 1955 he was united in marriage to Lucille Bowers at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Belleville.  Russell farmed and also worked for the University of Wisconsin Madison in housing, and as a Per Mar security guard at Badger events.  He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Belleville and was a Third-Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

Russell is survived by his wife Lucille, sons Mark (Alison) and Steve (Debbie), and grandchildren Benjamin, Toby, Isaac, and Naomi.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Rose King and Marie Stebnitz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 338 S. Harrison St., Belleville, WI with Rev. Mark Miller officiating.  Burial will be in St. Raphael's Frenchtown Cemetery, rural Belleville.
