Obituary

Rosemary Adele Doyle Gion, age 89, of Madison passed away on Friday, November 14, 2014 at Agrace HospiceCare, Inc. in Fitchburg. She was born on February 16, 1925 to her parents John and Rose (Gaffney) Doyle at Dayton, WI. Rosemary graduated from Belleville High School. On September 17, 1949 she was united in marriage to Alphonse Gion at St. James Catholic Church in Madison. Rosemary was a homemaker and caregiver for her family. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Belleville. Rosemary was an accomplished artist who had showings of her work throughout the area. She was involved with the Madison Art Guild and Water Color Society. Rosemary is survived by her husband Al of Madison, WI, sons Brendan Gion of Verona, WI, Greg (Therese) Gion of Middleton, WI, grandchildren Alexander and Anna, and a sister Margaret McKnight of Madison, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers William, Edward, Robert, William, and John. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 338 S. Harrison St., Belleville, WI with the Rev. Michael Moon officiating. A gathering of relatives and friends will precede the Mass from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Belleville.
