Rose M. Zandonella, age 74, of Belleville passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. She was born on February 1, 1936 in Placerville, CA to Iginio and Albina (Pilatti) Zandonella. Rose graduated from Eldorado High School in 1956. She was a bookkeeper for El Dorado County, California for many years retiring in March of 2001. Rose attended St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church in Belleville. She loved to knit, crochet, and birdwatching in the backyard. Rose loved her grandchildren more than anything, she loved to recall their funny phrases which brought her much joy and laughter. Rose is survived by her son Bruce Clifton of California, daughter Rena (Tim) Askey of Belleville, five grandchildren Terry, Adam, and Hayden Askey, Andrew and Megan Clifton, a brother Reno Zandonella, sisters Jean Sales and Teresa Klare all of California. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Louis Clifton, and a brother John Zandonella. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December, 7, 2010 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI with a time of gathering from 12:00 noon until time of service. A memorial fund has been established.
