Ronald Jay Gehin, age 55, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at UW Hospital in Madison following a tree felling accident. He was born on September 20 1962 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison the son of Leo and Alma (Waefler) Gehin. Ron graduated from Belleville High School in 1981 and then studied at UW-Platteville. He worked as a machinist at Kelsch in Paoli for thirty-four years. Ron was an outdoorsman he enjoyed fishing, hunting, making wood, and caring for his lawn and flowers. He was also known for his cooking skills through his enchiladas, smoked salmon, jerky, and fish frys. Ron loved to travel to Alaska and also enjoyed bowling. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends and will always be Uncle Ron the "best uncle ever".

Ron is survived by his siblings Peggy (Michael) O'Brien, Judy (Michael) Casler, Richard (Terri) Gehin, Robert (Brenda) Gehin, and Roger Gehin. He is further survived by his nieces and nephews Andrew (Monica), Thomas, (Alisha), Alex, Jerry, Zack, and Nora and grandnieces and grandnephews Ellie, Cohen, Cael, and Everley.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 27, 2017 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home in Belleville.

A memorial fund has been established.
