IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ronald
Fahey
November 25, 1947 – October 5, 2024
Belleville resident Ronald Fahey, 76, passed away surrounded by his loved ones at home on his farm on Saturday, October 5, 2024. He is survived by his wife, Colleen, their three sons: Bryan (Tanya) and daughters Mila and Isidora; Ross (Anna) and children Nolan, Evelyn, Noah, and Caleb; and Scott (girlfriend Morgan); as well as his mother Betty, and brothers David (Vicky) and Ted. He is also survived by many cousins and his best friend Jerry Gehin, who often accompanied him to the casinos in Dubuque, IA. He was preceded in death by his father, Francis "Ozzie" Fahey and his four-legged companion Riley.
Ron was born on November 25, 1947, in Belleville, Wisconsin to Betty (Herfel) and Francis Fahey. He graduated from Belleville High School in 1965 and attended short course at UW-Madison. Ron married Colleen Drea on September 18, 1982.
Ron was a life-long farmer. He began with 4-H and eventually had a registered Holstein herd. He also built bird houses for Purple Martins on his farm in Belleville and was featured in a news story about their migration to Wisconsin. Ron participated in local bowling leagues, and fantasy football leagues with his sons and nephews. He enjoyed playing pool, going to the casino with friends, and Friday night fish fry. Ron was easy-going, light-hearted, and could always make others laugh. We are fortunate to have had his wit & generosity for so long. We will miss him dearly.
