Obituary

Roger Gene Yaun, age 67, of Beloit, Wisconsin quietly departed this life at home on November 21, 2016. He was born on March 28, 1949 in New Glarus to his parents Ralph and Margaret (Fiez) Yaun. Roger was a devoted husband, proud father and grandfather, and cherished brother and uncle. He was a long-time employee of Chrysler, a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and a lifelong fan of the Green Bay Packers. He was immune to the cold and could often be found shirtless once the temperature was above 50 degrees. The only thing bigger than his warm smile was his kind and generous heart. When he wasn't busy helping out a neighbor or friend, he could often be found napping, watching an old movie, or playing with his grandchildren, over whom he seemed to hold magical powers. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially his large family, whom he loved so dearly.

Roger is survived by his wife Debra Yaun, children Monica (Roshan) Yaun, Joseph (Debbie) Yaun, Steven Yaun, Jenelle (Eric) Murley, Nicole (Zac) Yaun, step-children Ryan Lervik, Kara Lervik, and Amy Lervik, eleven grandchildren Evan, Alex, Izzy, Emma, Aria, Delilah, Gabriella, Samuel, Kaleb, Emilia, Karson. He is further survived by his brothers Jeff (Debra) Yaun, Mark (Cindy) Yaun, Randy (Lori) Yaun, and Bruce (Sally) Yaun and sisters Ruth (Don) Suchla, Barb (Mike) Wayland, and Terri (Bill Beckwith) Yaun.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Ralph, two brothers, Steve and Michael, a daughter, Julie, and a brother-in-law Harvey Donaldson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at the Zwingli United Church of Christ, 416 E. Lake Ave., Monticello, WI with Pastor Lance Smith officiating.

Relatives and friends may call from 12:00 noon until time of services on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at the Zwingli United Church of Christ in Monticello.

The Zentner-Beal Funeral Home of New Glarus is assisting the family.
