Rodger Donald Harbort, age 70, of Belleville passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. He was born on December 27, 1939 in Token Creek, WI to his parents Clarence and Gladyce (Goodman) Harbort. Rodger attended schools in the Sun Prairie and Marshall area. On August 2, 1969 he was united in marriage to Juanita Schulz at the First United Church of Christ in Belleville. Rodger worked at the Hoffman House Sauce Plant, Dairy Equipment, the Monroe Cheese Corp, and as a custodian for several companies. He was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Belleville. Rodger and Juanita enjoyed traveling, bowling, playing cards as members of two card clubs, and square dancing which they did together for 33 years. Rodger is survived by his wife Juanita of Belleville, WI, a son Andrew (Linda) Harbort of Madison, WI, a daughter Pamela (Matthew) Sharon of San Antonio, TX, two grandsons Mark and Jason Sharon, a brother David (Diane) Harbort of Sun Prairie, WI, three sisters Judy O'Dell of Sun Prairie, WI and Patricia (Donald) Olson of Harpers Ferry, IA, and Bonnie Radewan of Sun Prairie, WI, a sister-in-law Mary (Paul Downey) Harbort of Sun Prairie, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at the First United Church of Christ, 130 E. Church St., Belleville, WI at the corner of E. Church and Mitchell St., with the Rev. Heide Walker-Hackman officiating with burial in the Belleville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 4:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Friday, January 22, 2010 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI and from 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at the church.
