Robert "Bobby" Helms, age 84 of Belleville passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at his home.  He was born on May 23, 1940 in North Freedom, WI the son of Gerald and Augusta (Kosin) Helms.  Bobby attended Baraboo schools and in 1962 he entered into the United States Army.  After his discharge from the Army, he married Beverley Sukala in September of 1965, and the couple later divorced.  Bobby worked in maintenance for the University of Wisconsin Housing Department for twenty-nine years.  He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed bowling along with cheering on the Packers and Badgers.

Robert is survived by his daughters Penny Helms and Heidi (Mark) Trieloff, grandson Robert (Rosa Sanabria) Crull, and great-grandsons Dominic and Xavier.  He is further survived by a brother-in-law Ed Stolte, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Carol Stolte, brothers Duane (Donna) Helms, David Helms, and Jerry Helms.

A gathering of relatives and friends to celebrate Bob's life will be held from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at the Sugar River Lanes, 807 River St., Belleville, WI.
