Robert M. "Bob" Fiez, age 61, passed into God's arms on Saturday, January 16, 2010 due to a heart attack. Bob was born on December 26, 1948 in Monroe, the son of Leon and Mary (Leutenegger) Fiez. He attended New Glarus schools and graduated from Blanchardville High School in 1967. He served in the U.S. Army infantry in Vietnam in 1969 and 1970. Bob then received a degree in Electronics from MATC and enjoyed a successful career, the last 25 years with CUNA Mutual Group. Survivors include Terri, his wife of 31 years, and their two beautiful children, Monica and Michael. He is further survived by his siblings, Leon (Chris) Fiez, David (Chong) Fiez, Sue (Jim) Dalee, and Jude (Cyril) Waelti, as well as many in-laws and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Edward. Bob's real joy came from all of the children in his life. Monica and Michael were the love of his life. He adored his nieces and nephews. He treasured being "Mr. Bob" to so many kids as a Sunday School teacher and Little League coach. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and winemaking. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 22, 2010 at the Salem United Church of Christ, 502 Mark Dr., Verona, WI with the Rev. Mark Yurs officiating with burial in the Belleville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. Bob will live forever in our many happy memories.
