Robert L. Carlsen, age 69, of Portage peacefully passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at the Columbia Health Care Center in Wyocena. He was born on July 10, 1950 at Madison General Hospital in Madison the son of Carl and Dorothy (Baillie) Carlsen. Robert graduated from Riverdale High School in 1969 and continued his education at UW-Platteville earning a degree in education and library science. He lived in Portage for many years where he worked at Walmart, served as a Boy Scout Leader, and was a member of the Portage Presbyterian Church. Robert also led many trips to the Boundary Waters. He was a dedicated Packer's fan and enjoyed playing cribbage.

Robert is survived by his sister Patricia (Wing) MacLean, brother David Carlsen, nephew Luke (Lanee) MacLean, niece Ann (John Forbes) MacLean, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
