River J. Lee, age 26 passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021 at his home. He was born on May 24, 1995 in Dodgeville, WI the son of Linnea James and Troy Lee. River graduated from New Glarus High School in 2013 and attended MATC-Milwaukee. He had worked for Exact Sciences in Madison. River was an avid Wisconsin sports fan and enjoyed time spent with family and friends.

River is survived by his mother Linnea (Aaron) Billman, father Troy (special friend Dawn) Lee, brother Jakob Lee, sisters Willow and Lydia Lee, nephew Myles, grandparents Sharyn (Bruce) James-Riegler, Roger (Nina Miller) James, and Helen Lee, and his canine companion Ziba. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Walter Lee.

A gathering will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at the Zentner-Beal Funeral Home, 29 Sixth Ave., New Glarus, WI.

A celebration of River's life will follow the gathering from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the New Glarus Fest Haus, 106 3rd Ave., New Glarus, WI

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
