IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Richard Jerome
Donahue
August 19, 1953 – December 19, 2025
It is with great sadness we share the passing of Richard Jerome Donahue, age 72, on Friday, December 19, 2025. He was born on August 19, 1953 in Dodgeville, WI a son of Jerome and Ruth (Haas) Donahue. Growing up as the oldest son on the farm Richard learned many skills from his parents. He attended parochial school in Pine Bluff and then graduating from Belleville High School in 1972 where he had wrestled and played football. Richard married his high school sweetheart, Janet Urfer on July 21, 1973. They raised their daughters Kaye and Ashley on a farm near Dayton. Richard enjoyed being a farmer, he would go out in the morning before milking to hunt squirrels and rabbits. Over the years he had developed the skillset to fix or build just about anything. Those skills aided him as he left farming to work at Kelsch Machine and Federal Industries. Richard sought a change of career and earned his CDL and began driving truck. He was currently driving for Dunwiddie Trucking of Monticello, WI. He will be remembered by his family, friends, and acquaintances for his can-do attitude and work ethic.
Richard is survived by his daughters Kaye Babler and Ashley (Chris) Carpenter, grandson Douglas Babler, Jr., brothers Jim (Diana) Donahue, Larry (Bonnie) Donahue, Robert (Maria) Donahue, sisters Pat (Cliff) Schoepp, Kathy (Jeff) Darga, Barb (Donald) Schwoerer, Phyllis (Dennis) Disch, and Jean (Micheal) Hineline. He is further survived by his special partner Susan Anderson and son Cody (Kariann) Anderson, daughter Dawn (Joe) Cockroft, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents William & Agnes Donahue and Frederick & Minnie Haas, parents, and a brother-in-law Tom Rosga.
