Mr. Raymond Zweifel, age 82, of Paoli, passed away at Agrace Hospice Care on August 13, 2013. Ray was born on November 6, 1930, the youngest child of Fred and Margaret (Elmer) Zweifel. He graduated from Belleville High School, class of 1949. On November 4, 1950 he was united in marriage to the former Joan Marx and they celebrated 62 years of marriage together. Ray worked for Kayser of Madison as a mechanic advancing to foreman in the heavy duty truck department for 40 years. Ray was a full blooded Swiss gentleman, he was extremely proud of his heritage and enjoyed listening to Swiss music. For many years he took Joan and sometimes his children to Roxbury, WI for an evening of dancing. He truly enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow up. He and Joan went on many trips with their grandchildren to museums, parks, Washington DC, and Disney World. Ray cherished the time he spent with his family at holidays, birthdays, and other gatherings. Ray is survived by his wife, Joan; four children, Linda Limmex of Waunakee, David Zweifel of North Carolina, Susan Zweifel of Madison, and Carol (Rick) Francois of Belleville. He is also survived by four grandchildren; Stephen Limmex (Sheryll), Michele (Adrian) Meyer, Sarah (Nunzio) Gaglianello, and Kate (Jared) LaFrancois; and five great grandchildren; Olivia, Dylan, Nolan, and Ella Meyer; and Guilia Gaglianello. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Margaret (Elmer) Zweifel and his brother Melvin Zweifel. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI with the Rev. Michael Moon officiating with burial in the Belleville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home in Belleville.
