Ramona J. Best, age 95, passed away at her home outside Belleville on Sunday, February 23, 2025.  She was born on July 17, 1929 near Downing in Dunn County to William and Minnie (Johnson) Harry.  Ramona graduated from Boyceville High School.

She met her husband Henry while dancing at Turner Hall in Madison.  They married on September 16, 1949 and farmed together outside Belleville.  In addition to being a farm wife and mother, she worked as a claim's specialist at WPS in Madison for 25 years before retiring in 2004.

After Ramona's stroke in 2015, she was able to stay in her home with the help of her devoted children and special great-grandson Brayden. The family would like to thank the staff at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg for the exceptional care and support during Ramona's last few weeks.

Ramona is survived by her children Diane (Ace) Miller, Gary (Patti) Best, Karen (Rick) Hynes, and Scott (Lori Larson) Best; grandchildren Matt & Josh McKeown, Amanda & Justin Best, Jeremy Moore, Amanda & Christopher Hynes, and Hillary Best; great-grandchildren Austin, Jaden, Isaiah, Mason, Justin, Nevaeh, Owen, Cooper, Nina, Cayson, and Brayden.  She is further survived by a sister-in-law Hattie Harry, brother-in-law Frank (Margie) Best, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Henry in 2001, brothers Gilman and Dayton Harry, and sister Marlene Novenskie.

Private family inurnment services will be held at a later date at the Belleville Cemetery, Belleville, WI.
