Phyllis H. Elsner, age 82 of Belleville passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at her home.  She was born on October 29, 1939 at the Fort Apache Mission School in McNary, Arizona the daughter of Walter and Wilhelmine (Boerger) Huber.  Phyllis graduated from Mayville High School in 1957 and then cosmetology school.  On June 23, 1962 she was united in marriage to Keith Elsner at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Iron Ridge, WI.  Phyllis worked for Francois Sales in Belleville for many years along with helping her husband Keith run the Belleville Laundromat, Gamble's Hardware, and Milk Pail Bar in Belleville.  She also volunteered her time with the Belleville Community Club and EMS.  Phyllis enjoyed reading and doing cross word puzzles.  She also enjoyed rides through the countryside that may have ended up at a casino along with traveling to Florida.

Phyllis is survived by her children Christine (Al) Farrow, Deborah (Dan) Kauk, Cheri (Tom) O'Connor, and David (Kjirsten) Elsner, grandchildren Katie, Brian, Lauren, Abby (fiancé Paul), Alex (Rylee), McKenzie, and Thea, and a great-grandson Owen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Keith, and brother Norman.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI.

Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at the Montrose Pioneer Cemetery, Belleville, WI.

The family would like to thank the Belleville Police Department, Dick Miller, and the East Pearl neighbors for caring and watching out for mom.  The family would also like to thank the staff of Agrace HospiceCare, Inc. especially Megan, Lyndsey, Amy, Christy, and Karen for the kind and compassionate care given to Phyllis.
