Phillip J. Schmid, age 54 of Belleville passed away on Friday, January 31, 2020 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. He was born on November 21, 1965 in Monroe the son of Ronald and Joyce (Goodman) Schmid. Phillip grew up in Belleville, and in 1992 he married Alicia Ingalls. He first worked at Engineering Industries and later Engraving Specialties. Most recently he had worked as a cook at J&M Bar and Grill in Belleville.

Phillip is survived by his children Tahera (Tristan Hanson) Stern, Devin (Zachary) Blay-Stahl, and Jon (fiancé Kailey Wyman) Ruf, grandchildren Ayden and Bennex. He is further survived by his father Ronald Schmid, sisters Cheryl Arn and Pamela (Bill) Brunner, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Joyce, nephew Scott Johnson, Jr., and granddaughter Hailey.

A celebration of Phillip's life will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2020 at J&M's Bar and Grill, 127 W. Main St., Belleville, WI. Private inurnment will be in the Belleville Cemetery at a later date.
