Obituary

Paul G. Jacobs, age 72, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King. He was born on September 18, 1944 in Madison to his parents Ralph and Solveig (Magelssen) Jacobs. Paul graduated from Verona High School and then went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville with a degree in Ag Science. Paul first taught Agriculture at Shiocton, WI for two years. He then enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam and Cambodia. Following his return from the service Paul worked as a Basagran representative, at the Paoli Clay Company, and operated Jakes Lawn Care. He loved to read and was a frequent patron of the Verona Public Library and longtime member of Camp Charles Allis.

He is survived by his brothers Ralph (Betsy) Jacobs and Austin (Mary) Jacobs, sister-in-law Marge Jacobs, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother David Jacobs.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI with a time of remembrance to follow the visitation.

A private family inurnment will be held at a later date at the Verona Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
