Patrick H. Topp, age 90, of New Glarus, passed away surrounded by the love of his family on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at the New Glarus Home. Pat was born on August 12, 1936 in Madison, WI the son of Clarence and Mary (McCabe) Topp. He graduated from Madison West High School in 1955 and proudly served in the U.S. Naval Reserves. In his early years, Pat worked alongside his father at Topp Plumbing, where he earned his Master Plumber license. He later worked for H.J. Pertzborn until his retirement.
On January 7, 1977 he was united in marriage to Alice Egbert. Pat was always known for his kind spirit, quiet strength, and willingness to lend a helping hand. He was a skilled outdoorsman and avid fisherman; he found joy on the water with friends and family and spent each fall elk hunting with his son in Montana. You could often find him enjoying the sun on his deck, gardening, doing puzzles and playing euchre. He loved cheering on the Wisconsin sports teams Badgers, Packers, Brewers and his favorite NASCAR drivers.
Pat is survived by his children Peggy Topp, Mike Topp, Curtis Topp, Katherine “Katie” (Doug) Johnson, Michelle “Shelly” (Patrick) Mason, and Melissa “Missy” (Brian) Karpinski, grandchildren Josh (Channy) & Luke Topp, Kiley & Ian Johnson, Charlie, Lily, and CeCe Mason, Trent & Mitchel Karpinski and great grandchildren Desiree and Blayne Topp. He is further survived by his sister Mary (Jeff) Nelson, nieces, and nephews.
