Patricia Lynn Jelle, age 70 passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at UW Hospital in Madison, WI. She was born on June 1, 1951 the daughter of Harvey Schmidt and Adeline Hammen. Pat was proud that during her teenage years she grew up at their house in the Arboretum. She graduated from Madison Central High School in 1969, the last class to graduate from Central. Pat would then go on to work as an administrative assistant for the State of Wisconsin and University of Wisconsin for many years at the School of Business and School of Medicine. In 1988 Pat married Larry Jelle in Las Vegas, NV. Pat and Larry enjoyed traveling in their motorhome including wintering in Ft. Meyers, FL and summers in northern Wisconsin in Shawano County. She was an ardent Packer backer especially after learning that Larry's father helped to build Lambeau Field. Pat was a kind and compassionate soul always wanting to care for others along with caring for her furry friends.

Pat is survived by her husband Larry Jelle of New Glarus, WI, step-sons Jason Jelle of Belleville, WI and Scott (Julie) Klassy of Mt. Horeb, WI, step-grandchildren Bryson and Regyn Jelle, Ryne Ferguson, and Zach, Garrett, and Travis Klassy. She is further survived her siblings Jean (Randy) Rogers of Ft. Meyers, FL, Rita (David) Off of Fitchburg, WI, and Harvey (Tracy) Schmidt Jr. of Lodi, WI, half-brothers Eric (Carrie) Schmidt and Tylor (Cori) Schmidt of Belleville, WI, sisters-in-law Diane (Glen) Femrite, New Glarus, WI and Cheryl Bowman, Monroe, WI, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, father-in-law and mother-in-law Merlin and Doris Jelle, and brothers-in-law Gary Jelle and Dennis Aldridge, and nephew Donnie Nichols.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at the Zentner-Beal Funeral Home, 29 Sixth Ave., New Glarus, WI with the Rev. Kelley Volk officiating.

A gathering of relatives and friends will precede the memorial service from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Zentner-Beal Funeral Home in New Glarus, WI on Wednesday, September 8, 2021.
