Myron C. Popp, age 69, a former Dayton resident passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Agrace Hospice Care, Inc. in Fitchburg. He was born on June 15, 1942 at Bosstown, WI to George and Idella (Fowl) Popp. Myron graduated from Readstown High School in 1960. On February 18, 1961 he was united in marriage to Wilma Schwartz at Richland Center, WI. Myron owned and operated construction equipment. He had worked for Arnie Alme and most recently for Terra Construction; he was also a member of Operating Engineers Local 139. Myron was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Belleville. Myron and Wilma were members of the Goldwing Motorcycle Club and the couple had touched all fifty states on their motorcycle. Myron also enjoyed restoring old cars and tractors and was an avid NASCAR, Badger, and Packer fan. Myron is survived by his wife Wilma, sons Alton (Amy) Popp and Tony (special friend Nancy Krueger) Popp, and grandchildren Hannah and Benjamin. He is further survived by his brother Raymond (Kathy) Popp, a sister Jane Marie (Al) Copeland, sisters-in-law Ruth (Gary) Wick and Phyllis Bartz, nieces, nephews, a very good friend Darrel Colson, and his special little dog Shadow. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Charlie Popp and Wes Popp, sisters Marvalene Benson and Mildred Harris, father-law and mother-in-law Benjamin and Alice Schwartz, and a daughter-in-law Jennifer Popp. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at the First United Church of Christ, 130 E. Church St., Belleville, WI with the Rev. Heide Walker Hackman officiating. Graveside interment services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at the East Dayton Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at the First United Church of Christ in Belleville. Memorials are suggested to Agrace Hospice Care, Inc.
