Obituary

Mildred Lee (Wyble) Haden, age 94, passed away peacefully at her home, Sylvan Crossings, in Fitchburg, Wisconsin on February 3, 2012. Mildred was born on May 26, 1917 in Cyrene, Missouri to Nettie Lillian (Turpin) Wyble and Cleve Henry Wyble. She graduated from Eolia High School in 1935. Mildred attended William Jewel College, and the University of Missouri in Columbia. She taught in one room country schools in Missouri for ten years, including Haden School and Keene School. Mildred married Floyd Haden on February 2, 1945. They moved to Belleville, Wisconsin shortly after their marriage, and lived there most of their married lives. Mildred is survived by: Daughter-in- law Rose Haden, daughters Kay (Keith) Vandervort and Nancy (William) Haden Meyer; grandchildren: Jeff (Lisa) Peters, Diana (James) Barany, Brett (Sarina) Meyer, Jennifer (Tim) Blair, Cory (Mai) Meyer, and Lauren Meyer; great-grandchildren: Jack Peters, Aidan Medinger, Isabella Blair, Micah Meyer, Hayden Blair, Junia Meyer; Sisters: Nannie Elder, Bonnie Mendonsa, and brother Charles (Barbara) Wyble; sisters-in-law Margaret Katherine Wyble and Margie Rau, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: Her husband Floyd Haden, son Richard Haden, daughter Patricia Babler, great-granddaughter Rachel Meyer; parents, Nettie and Cleve Wyble; brothers and sisters: Cash (Juanita) Wyble, Clark Wyble, John (Lorene) Wyble, Margaret (Everett) Van Ness; Willene (Jesse) Brown; Harold Wyble; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Harold Elder, Charles Mendonsa, Louanna (Jim) Halsey; Donald (Laura Ruth) Haden; Mervin (Martha) Haden, and Fred Rau. Mildred was an active member of Grace United Methodist Church in Belleville as a Sunday school teacher, president of the United Methodist Women, and 4-H. She was an avid gardener and seamstress and made the best molasses cookies, apple pie, and cinnamon rolls in the world. She valued her family, friends, her church, honesty, humility, education, and hard work. She was a kind and gentle woman. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the Grace United Methodist Church, 236 W. Pearl St., Belleville, WI with the Rev. Edwin Vargas and Rev. Sarina Odden Meyer officiating with burial in the Belleville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 10, 2012 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI.
