Michael Joseph Solberg, age 76, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at his home in Stoughton.

Mick was born on August 11, 1949 in Madison, WI to John and Arlene (Schaller) Solberg. He was the second of eight children, and grew up in the unincorporated town of Paoli, WI. Mick graduated from Belleville High School in 1967, where he was an accomplished athlete. A Veteran of the United States Navy, he served a tour in Vietnam after high school.

He was united in marriage to Lucille Alme on September 16, 1972 at St. William Catholic Church in Paoli. Together, they raised their children in Stoughton. Mick worked as a truck driver for many years, driving for the Paoli Mill, Reynold’s Transfer & Storage, Bowman Dairy, and Walgreen’s, from which he retired. He cherished spending time with his family and made lasting memories boating, golfing, fishing and hunting.

Mick is survived by Lucy Solberg; their children Tiffany (James) Acord and Jeremy (Abbie) Solberg; along with grandchildren McCaela, Patrick, and Finley. He is further survived by his siblings, Dennis (Myra) Solberg, Patricia (Ron) Rieder, Terry (Cheryl) Solberg, Cynthia (Steve) Bucierka, and Donald (Pam) Solberg, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mick was preceded in death by his parents, John and Arlene Solberg, and brothers Thomas and Richard Solberg.

A gathering of relatives and friends will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI. A time of remembrance will conclude the gathering at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Military honors will be accorded.
