Mavis (Zweifel) Wilde, age 80, passed away at her home on Wednesday, August 2, 2017. She was born in Dayton, WI on July 11, 1937, the daughter of Herman and Lois (Pernot) Zweifel. She was united in marriage to Reginald Wilde in 1952 at Caledonia, MN. Mavis and her husband owned and operated several milk routes during their married life and made many lasting friendships with the farmers they served. She enjoyed her farmette and raising chickens and rabbits. Mavis was also known for her baking skills and baked cookies almost every day to share with family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mavis is survived by her friend Milton Stuessy, brothers Wayne (Carole) Zweifel, Blanchardville, WI, Roger (Diane) Zweifel, Dayton, WI, and Herman (Nadine) Zweifel, Federal Way, WA, sisters Lavon Birkrem, Cambridge, WI, JoAnn (Joseph) Cunningham, Columbus, WI, and Margie (Francis) Best, Belleville, WI, nieces, nephews, and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Reginald in 1987, sister and brother-in-law Allene and Stanley Schmitz, brother-in-law Glen Birkrem, and sister-in-law Arlene Zweifel.

A graveside burial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at the Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe, WI with Pastor Patty Marty officiating.

The Zentner-Beal Funeral Home of New Glarus is assisting the family.
