Mary Elizabeth Tschudy, age 84, of Verona, WI passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. She was born on April 10, 1929 to her parents Irvin J. and Hazel M. (Scott) Disch. Mary graduated from New Glarus High School in 1948. On February 14, 1949 she was united in marriage to Ronald J. Tschudy at Dubuque, IA. Mary was a CNA and had worked at Middleton Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She had also worked at the Middleton Library, the New Glarus Telephone Company, and the Sheboygan Hospital. Mary was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Belleville. Mary is survived by her daughters Jennifer Anderson of Nashville, TN and Catherine (Dwaine Beasley) West of Madison, WI, grandchildren Gina Anderson of Nashville, TN, Jordan Patterson of Monticello, WI, Ethan Parkin of Delevan, WI, and Destiny Elizabeth Parkin of Monroe, WI, and five great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her brothers Charles (Mary Lou) Disch of Madison, WI, Joseph (Katherine) Disch of Deforest, WI, and James (Kris) Disch of New Glarus, WI, sisters Marjorie Elmer of New Glarus, WI, Kathleen (Edward) O'Connor of Belleville, WI, Judy Treuthardt of Monroe, WI, Rosalie Breitenbach of Madison, WI, Janet Figy of Monticello, WI, Barbara (Bill) Argue of New Glarus, WI, and Julie Johnson of Bainbridge Island, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Wilbert, Richard, and Kenneth, and sisters Dorothy Horner and Patricia Jelle. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 338 S. Harrison St., Belleville, WI with the Rev. Michael Moon and Rev. Kenneth Klink officiating with interment in Roselawn Memorial Park, Monona, WI. Relatives and friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI with a rosary at 8:00 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the St. Francis of Assisi Building Fund.
