Obituary

Mary C. Gray, age 69, of Johnson Creek passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Brook Gardens Assisted Living in Lake Mills. She was born on November 23, 1943 to her parents Mitchell and Lois (Bowers) Rens. Mary graduated from Lourdes High School in Rochester, MN. On October 3, 1966 she was united in marriage to Thomas Gray at Rochester, MN. Mary worked as an administrative assistant most recently at the Johnson Creek Outlet Mall and had worked for Berres Brothers Coffee Roasters in Watertown. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, and was an avid reader. Mary was also a member of the Red Hatters. Mary is survived by Thomas Gray, daughters Melinda (Bill) Ansell and Melanie (Richard) Murphy, grandchildren Erin Carter, Derek and Lauren Ansell, and Aidan and Molly Murphy. She is further survived by her siblings Meg Hughes, Mitchell (Ann) Rens, Peter (Brenda) Rens, and Chip (Joi-Lynn) Rens, brother-in-law Jim Miller, and a sister-in-law Helen Rens. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Kenneth Rens, and a sister Nancy Miller. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 16, 2013 at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 338 S. Harrison St., Belleville, WI with the Rev. Michael Moon officiating with burial in the St. James Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 12:00 noon until time of service on Monday, September 16, 2013 at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
