Marion H. "Bud" King, age 86, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2013 at Agrace HospiceCare, Inc. in Fitchburg. He was born on March 25, 1927 to his parents Herman and Marie (Klossner) King. Bud grew up in Green County and graduated from Dutch Hollow Grade School. He farmed his early life in the Belleville area. In 1956 he purchased the Gerber farm near Mt. Vernon where he raised his family and farmed for many years. After retiring from farming Bud worked for Ryder Transportation delivering the Wisconsin State Journal. He was also known as Mr. Fix-it, his shop was always open to anyone who needed help in repairing anything. Bud is survived by his children Lee (Anita) King, Steve (Jane) King, Janet (Angelo) Dangles, and Roger (Adele) Olstad. He is further survived by his best friend Mary Lou Hustad plus many more relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann (Gerber) King, son Thomas Olstad, grandson Jon Olstad, brothers Gilbert King, Robert King, and William King. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 13, 2013 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI with the Rev. Brad Brookins officiating. A private family burial service will be held at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 13, 2013 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home in Belleville. A memorial fund has been established.
