Marilyn A. Kosmeder, age 77, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 02, 2010 at St. Mary's Care Center in Madison. Marilyn was the daughter of Robert and Lillian (Stiff) Cockroft and was born June 16, 1932 in Montrose Township, Dane County, Wisconsin. On September 22, 1950 she was united in marriage to Lawrence Kosmeder at the Methodist Church, Oregon, WI. She was a faithful and devoted member of Memorial Baptist Church in Verona. Survivors include: her husband Lawrence; children Lawrence (Jayne) Kosmeder, Maryann (Don) St. John, Barbara (Darrell) Storkson, and Jane (Tom) Vaughan; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; a sister Beverly Fritz; brothers Stanley (Lynda) Cockroft and James (Donna) Cockroft. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Leroy Cockroft, and a sister Geraldine Duerst. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the Memorial Baptist Church, 201 S. Main St., Verona, WI with the Pastor Craig Jarvis officiating with burial in the Belleville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2010, at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI. A memorial fund has been established in her memory.
