Marie C. Schneider, age 87, of Belleville passed away on Tuesday, February 02, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. She was born on March 8, 1922 in Martinsville, WI to her parents Ludwig and Gertrude (Meier) Buechner. Marie attended the Martinsville Catholic School. On June 19, 1945 she was united in marriage to Willis Schneider at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Martinsville. Marie was a homemaker and farmed with her husband until they moved to Belleville in 1973. She was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Belleville and was also a member of the Just for Fun Homemaker's Club. Marie enjoyed playing cards. Family was very important to Marie her grandchildren and great-grandchildren especially brightened her days. Marie is survived by her: three children LouAnn Wipperfurth of Scottsdale, AZ, Elaine (Jerry) Gerber of Sun Prairie, WI, and Marvin (Debbie) Schneider on the family farm near New Glarus; six grandchildren Michele and Angela Wipperfurth, Scott Gerber, Traci Schneider, Kim Sies, and Karisa Hurst; three great-grandchildren Jackson and Ava Marie Sies and Derek Hurst; three brothers Norbert Buechner, Leo Buechner, and Leonard Buechner; three sisters Bernadette Haack, Rose Grosse, and Henrietta Gross. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Willis, and brothers Vincent and Ludwig Buechner. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 338 Harrison St., near the corner of Frederick and School St., Belleville, WI with the Rev. Kenneth Klink officiating with burial in the St. James Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2010 at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 338 Harrison St., Belleville, WI and from 10:00 until time of service on Saturday at the church.
