Lynne Marie (Reuter) Hustad age 69, passed away on July 15, 2025.  She was born on August 14, 1955 to Russell and Marie (Stuckey) Reuter.  Lynne married Duane Hustad on August 6, 1994.

Lynne lived in New Glarus where she spent her whole life.  She graduated from New Glarus High School in 1973.  She was a member of Swiss United Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School, was on the Christian Education Committee and sang in the choir for 35 years.

She was a stay-at-home mom until she went to work for WPS Insurance.  She also worked at Carnes Inc, The New Glarus School District, American TV and RSM US LLP until her retirement in 2022.

Her favorite activity was spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She loved crafting and created all of her own greeting cards.  She made many other crafts that she enjoyed sharing with family and friends.  She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles.

Christmas was Lynne's favorite holiday and she would lovingly decorate every room in her house.  She also made homemade Christmas ornaments for her grandchildren every Christmas.  You could hear Christmas music playing and she knew every word of each song while she would bake Christmas cookies and make homemade Chex Mix for her children and grandchildren.

Lynne is survived by her husband Duane, children Matt (Luanne) Brusveen, Karen (Israel) Rivera, Sara (Kurt) Hendrickson, Brenda (Matt) Schmitt, Tony Hustad, Jenny Huebner, Jon Huebner: stepdaughters Theresa O'Brien and Kathleen Walton.  Grandchildren Abby and Nathan Hendrickson, Brayden, Allison and Theo Schmitt, Iria Grunke, Carter and Ziva Hustad, Makayla and Xavier Rivera; Step grandchildren David, Michaela and Patrick O'Brien and Jacob Walton.  She is further survived by her father Russell Reuter and siblings Tom Reuter, Margaret (Dave) Benson, Nancy (Tom) Marty, and Dan Reuter.

She was preceded in death by her mother Marie Reuter, grandparents Clarence & Adeline Reuter and Walter & Mayme Stuckey, father-in-law and mother-in-law Donald & Dorothy Hustad, and sisters-in-law Janice Disch and Lorna Righter.

A celebration of Lynne's life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at the New Glarus Home Chapel, 600 Second Ave., New Glarus, WI.  Please enter from the Elm Dr. entrance.
