Lynn A. Weasner, age 62, passed away unexpectedly following a brief illness on Friday, July 3, 2026, at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by her family and friends.
She was born on September 13, 1963, in Monroe, WI to Jack and Laurel Butts. Lynn graduated from Mt. Horeb High School in 1981. She met the love of her life Matthew Weasner at Wildcat Lanes in Verona, and they were united in marriage on October 21, 2000 at St. James Lutheran Church. Lynn and Matt were blessed with one beautiful daughter, Maddie.
Lynn’s greatest joy was supporting Maddie in every chapter of her journey. Whether she was cheering from the sidelines at softball tournaments, celebrating her bowling accomplishments, or encouraging her through her college and professional career, she was always Maddie’s biggest fan.
Lynn has worked for over 25 years for TruStage, formerly CUNA Mutual, in Ethics and Compliance. She worked for Williams Young in Madison for 19 years prior. Lynn was very much looking forward to retirement.
Lynn enjoyed any time she could with her family. Whether it be a night out at her family’s bar and restaurant, 5th Quarter Sports Bar & Grill in Verona, or a family cookout at the pool, she loved any family gathering. Lynn was also an avid Milwaukee Brewer, Wisconsin Badger, and Green Bay Packer fan and could be seen at the 5th Quarter for every game she could attend.
Lynn was a woman whose greatest gift was her ability to make everyone feel seen, loved, and accepted. She lived her life with an open heart, embracing people for exactly who they were. One of her greatest joys was the LGBTQ+ community, where she found lifelong friendships and laughter. She especially loved the artistry, creativity, and joy of drag. Whether she was cheering from the front row at a drag show at FIVE Nightclub or supporting the people she loved, her enthusiasm was contagious, and she loved sharing that joy with others.
Legacy is something that many struggle to determine as they are in the last chapter of their lives. Lynn leaves a Legacy of Love, Kindness, companionship and acceptance that she would have never given herself credit for. Love like Lynn.
Lynn is survived by her loving husband Matthew, daughter Maddie, and sisters Holly (Jim) Latsch and Leann (Cindy) Butts. She is further survived by her mother-in-law Pat Weasner, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Michael (Stephanie) Weasner, Heather Weasner, Catherine (Mark) Babler, Mitchell (Angel) Weasner, and Martin (Melissa) Weasner, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law Jerry Weasner, and brother-in-law Mark Weasner.
Lynn’s ability to care for others continued until her last breath as she gave the gift of organ donation to those in need. Her family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at St. Mary’s Hospital for their compassionate care of Lynn.
A celebration of Lynn’s life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at the 5th Quarter Sports Bar & Grill, 161 Horizon Dr, Verona, WI.
The Becker-Beal Funeral Home of Belleville is assisting the family.
