Lola B. Kvamme, age 98, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at the New Glarus Home. She was born on August 1, 1915 in the Town of Primrose to her parents Herman and Marie (Martinson) Anderson. Lola attended the Primrose Center School. On February 8, 1940 she was united in marriage to Casper Kvamme. She worked at the Viking Town Motel and Ryser Cheese Factory in Mt. Horeb during the 1950's. Lola was also a homemaker, farm wife, and mother. She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Mt. Horeb. Lola served as a ballot clerk in the Town of Primrose for many years until retiring in 2011. Lola is survived by her children JoAnn (Larry) Sherven of Belleville, WI and Al (Sue) Kvamme of Belleville, WI, grandchildren Lori (Kurt) Helker of Madison, WI, Jodie (Richard) Grinstead of Chicago, IL, Nicholas Kvamme of Belleville, WI , and Kim (Jim) Marshall of Jackson, WI. She is further survived by a brother Kenneth (Gerry) Anderson of Verona, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 13, 2014 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI with the Rev. John Twiton officiating with burial in the Union Cemetery in Mt. Horeb. Relatives and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of services on Monday, January 13, 2014 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home in Belleville.
