LaVerne Busch, age 96, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at the New Glarus Home. He was born October 26, 1918 near Argyle, WI to Ben and Eda (Halverson) Busch and attended Argyle area schools. On November 22, 1942 LaVerne was united in marriage to Hedwig Eppenberger. LaVerne farmed in the Postville area for many years. He was a charter member of the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in New Glarus. LaVerne is survived by his sons Richard (Sue) Busch of Beloit, WI and Gerald (Joan) Busch of Blanchardville, WI, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter Kathleen Busch, a grandson Michael Busch, brother Lester Busch, and a sister Bernadine Greenhill. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 23, 2015 at the Swiss Church Cemetery in New Glarus with the Rev. Gene Talley officiating.
