Lance Kleeman of New Glarus, WI, age 36 was suddenly taken from us with a massive brain aneurysm. Before he left, once again Lance gave of himself. He was in the top 2% of donors to give all of his organs and tissue. Lance is our loving hero and will always be remembered as that kind, caring and selfless young man.

Lance was born in Monroe, WI on May 7, 1985 to the proud parents of Phillis (Marty) and David Kleeman. His father passed away 10 years later. Lance and his younger brother Clint became strong young men at a very early age. Four years later we were blessed to start a new family with Jerry Meisel and his two beautiful daughters Lyndsay and Briana.

Lance lived his entire life in New Glarus. Attended NGHS and further went on to work for 15 years in the brewing industry. First at New Glarus Brewing Company and most recently at Octopi Brewing Company. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was in a bowling league and spent summers playing bags with close friends. Lance was an avid fan of the Brewers, Packers and Badgers. He spent quiet time playing his computer games and reading.

Lance is survived by his mother Phillis Meisel, step-father Jerry Meisel, brother Clint (LeeAnn McDermott) Kleeman, and sisters Lyndsay and Briana (Ben Walgenbach) Meisel. Nieces Isabelle Kleeman, Lillie Smith and nephew Mason Smith.

He was preceded in death by his father David, grandparents Allen and Hazel Kleeman, Dr. Philipp and Marjorie Marty, and Don and Barb Meisel, and uncle Bill Kleeman.

A private family inurnment service will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at the Swiss Church Cemetery in New Glarus.

A Celebration of Lance's Life will be held on Sunday, October 24, 2021 from 1-4 p.m. at Octopi Brewing Company, 1131 Uniek Drive, Waunakee, WI.

The Zentner-Beal Funeral Home of New Glarus is assisting the family.

Lance's family would like to give a special thank you to the UW Neuroscience ICU and Organ Donation Teams for their kindness and compassion.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
