Kent "Hutch" Hutchison, age 72 of rural Blanchardville passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025 at his home.  He was born on July 1, 1953 in Davenport, IA the son of John and Lois (Leeds) Hutchison.  Kent grew up in Arlington Heights, IL and graduated from Prospect High School.  He then attended the University of Kansas where he met and married Vicki Rose, and they would have three children together Haley, Adam, and Tyler.  Kent and his family came to the Madison area where he began his career as an account executive in television advertising sales, including stops in Wausau, La Crosse, and Lancaster, PA. He would retire in 2016 from WISC-TV in Madison. On June 15, 1990 Kent was united in marriage to Kristine Olson in Lancaster, PA.  Kent and Kristi would return to the Madison area in 1994 living near Oregon before moving to their retirement home between New Glarus and Blanchardville in 2005.  In his retirement Kent worked part time for Miller and Son's Supermarket in Mt. Horeb.  He was a member of the New Glarus Bible Church.

Whether he was in his woodworking shop, on the golf course, or in front of the TV during March Madness, he found happiness in the things he loved most – especially cheering for the Packers and Badgers. Some of his most cherished memories were the times spent with family and friends at the cottage in Three Lakes, WI. Kent will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather, who was admired for his love and commitment to his family.

Kent is survived by his wife Kristi, children Haley (Jason) Endacott, Tyler (Alicia) Hutchison, and Nicholas (Vanessa) Trim, six grandchildren Jackson, Cooper, Everly, Evan, Hailey, and Marshall.  He is further survived by his siblings Craig (Ann) Hutchison, Heather (Colleen) Hutchison, Holly Hanewall, and Corey (Tammy) Hutchison, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Adam, sister Heidi Peterson, and brother-in-law David Hanewall.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, September 26, 2025 at the New Glarus Bible Church, 207 6th St., New Glarus, WI. A gathering of relatives and friends will precede the memorial service from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the New Glarus Bible Church.
