Kensel Charles Olson, age 89, of Oregon died peacefully on Friday, August 12, 2011 at the Oregon Manor surrounded by his loving family. Kensel born the son of Clarence and Alma Celene (Hendrickson) Olson in Belleville, WI on September 2, 1921. He graduated from Belleville High School, attended the University of Wisconsin. As a young man he helped his mother on the family farm and drove their milk truck. Kensel was an accountant for Hertz and Avis rent a car. He loved playing Bingo and watching the Brewers and Packers. Kensel is survived by his son Larry Olson of Fitchburg, WI, daughters Lynn Olson of Deforest, WI, Lynette (Norm) Barnard of Westfield, WI, and Kathy (Mike) Neuhengen of Reedsburg, WI, five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, a sister Carolyn (Olson) Bunnell of Oregon, a special friend, Marget Amann, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother in law Merlin Bunnell. A private burial has already been held. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Oregon Manor, Elder Care and Hospice. A special thanks to Pastor Sara for her visits, prayers, kind words and support to Kensel and his family. Kensel was loved and will dearly be missed by his family.
