Kathryn R. Wittwer, age 96, formerly of Belleville passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at the New Glarus Home. She was born on April 24, 1917 at Barneveld, WI to her parents Charles and Louise (Pfister) Jabs. On October 7, 1941 she was united in marriage to Willis Wittwer and the couple celebrated fifty six years together. Kathryn farmed with her husband until 1977 when they moved to Belleville. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Belleville and the Belleville Senior Citizens. Kathryn enjoyed gardening, flowers, animals, and playing cards. Kathryn is survived by her sons Harland (Lelani) Wittwer of Jasper, IN and Paul (Jo Ann) Wittwer of Ripon, WI, four grandchildren; Candace (Michael) Berger of Jasper, IN, Lance (Carla) Wittwer of Kentucky, Mark (Stephanie) Wittwer of Mt. Pleasant, WI, and Brian (Mary) Wittwer of Waukesha, WI, and six great-grandchildren; Kyle and Sydney Berger, Lexi, Alex, Nathan, and Raina Wittwer. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the First United Church of Christ, 130 E. Church St., Belleville, WI with the Rev. Heide Walker Hackman officiating with burial in the Belleville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the First United Church of Christ in Belleville.
