Kathryn Ann Fahey, age 91, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at her home surrounded by family. She was born on December 4, 1923 in Dodgeville, WI to her parents John and Kathryn (Crossen) Conway. After graduating from Hollandale High School Kathryn attended University of Wisconsin-Platteville earning a Bachelor's Degree in Education. She then went on to teach country school in Ridgeway, Campbellsport, and Paoli. On June 23, 1949 she was united in marriage to Arthur Fahey at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Hollandale, WI. As her family grew she would continue as a substitute teacher along with being a mother and farm wife. Kate was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Belleville and the Wisconsin Education Association. She was a great dancer who enjoyed polka, square, and round dancing with her husband for many years. Kate also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her husband of 66 years and family. Kathryn is survived by her husband Art of Belleville, WI, children John (Gail) Fahey of Belleville, WI, Art (Shelley) Fahey Jr. of La Crosse, WI, Connie Fahey of St. Louis, MO, and Nancy Fahey of St. Louis, MO, grandchildren Shawn (Jenny) Fahey, Brandon Fahey, Whitney (Andrew) Anderson, Jessica Williams, and Stacy Fahey, great-grandchildren Evan and Sam Fahey and Finnegan Anderson, special friend Dianna Pasley, brothers-in-law Don (Betty) Fahey and Herman Pfund, sister-in-law Margaret Conway, and other close relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Dennett Conway, sister Colletta Elmer, and sister-in-law Kathleen Pfund. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 338 S. Harrison St., Belleville, WI with the Rev. Michael Moon and Rev. Kenneth Klink officiating with burial in the St. James Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Belleville. The Becker-Beal Funeral Home of Belleville is assisting the family. A memorial fund has been established.
