Julie E. Francois loving wife, mother, sister, and aunt, age 53, of Belleville passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. She was a ten year Breast Cancer survivor. Julie was born on March 19, 1959 in Madison to her parents Joseph and Esther (Davis) Sarbacker. She graduated from Belleville High School and was a member of the Belleville FFA and State FFA choir. She was united in marriage to Ed Francois at St. Williams Catholic Church in Paoli. Julie worked for Dane County Human Services for over thirty years. She was a dedicated 4-H Leader for her entire life, and was active in the Belleville Sports Boosters. Julie was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (formerly St. Mary of Lourdes) and prior member of St. William Catholic Church. She touched all she met in a special way. Julie is survived by her husband Ed Francois, children Jonathan, Margaret, and Monica Francois, mother Esther Sarbacker, sisters JoAnn Lien, Janet (Brian) Hebl, and Jane Sarbacker, brothers James (Kathy), Robert, William (Heidi), Thomas (Vicki), John (Shelly), Timothy, and David (Candice) Sarbacker. She is further survived by her mother-in-law Monica Francois, sisters-in-law Faye (John) Rasmussen, Renee (Don) Funseth, Denise (Mike Stollfus) Francois, Jackie (Paul) Gehin, and Shelly (John) Sarbacker, brothers-in-law Rick (Carol) and Jay (Helen) Francois, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Joseph Sarbacker and father-in-law Richard Francois. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 338 S. Harrison St., Belleville, WI with Rev. Michael Moon and Rev. Kenneth Klink officiating. Relatives and friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 29, 2012 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Belleville and from 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday at the church. The Becker-Beal Funeral Home of Belleville is serving the family. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
