Jules Florey, age 97 of New Glarus passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at the New Glarus Home. He was born on October 11, 1922 in Glis, Switzerland the son of Ernest and Mary (Holzer) Florey. Jules had worked as a Maître d Hotel for the Holland American Cruise Line. On July 20, 1968 he married Jeanne Rose Koprud, and received his United States Citizenship in 1973. Jules was active in the Männerchor and Wilhelm Tell. He was also a member of St. Mary of Lourdes now St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Jules volunteered for many years with the Green County Visiting Nurse services.

Jules was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and siblings.

A memorial mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 338 S. Harrison St., Belleville, WI. Rev. Michael Moon will officiate.

The Zentner-Beal Funeral Home of New Glarus is assisting the family.
