Judith Ann Hofmeister, age 77, of Belleville passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at the Ingleside Manor in Mount Horeb. She was born on March 12, 1940 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison to her parents Howard and Gweneth (Smith) Lynch. Judy graduated from Edgewood High School in 1958. On June 9, 1962 she was united in marriage to Benedict Hofmeister at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church. Judy was a mother to her four children and also worked at the Boston Store and at Anchor Bank. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, a master gardener, and a gourmet cook.

Judy is survived by her husband Ben, children Ben (Kelly) Hofmeister, Robert Hofmeister (Luanne Schumacher), Thomas (Heather) Hofmeister, and Susie (Jeff) Van Ekeren, grandchildren Amanda, Jacob, John, Carter, Logan, Jack, Tyler, Gwen, and Claire. She is further survived by her siblings Sue (Tom) Bosold, Bill (Brenda) Lynch, Dan (Monica Donahoe) Lynch, David (Kathy) Lynch, Christopher Lynch, and Kerry (Terry Flynn) Lynch.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Howard, and canine and feline companions Molly and Sam.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, October 6, 2017 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 338 S. Harrison St., Belleville, WI with Rev. Michael Moon and Rev. Kenneth Klink officiating.

A gathering of relatives and friends will precede the service from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Belleville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Edgewood High School.
